Why be active?

Physical activity is essential for good health and will make a difference to your quality of life.

Just 30 minutes of physical activity of moderate intensity on 5 or more days a week can help.

Moderate intensity activity is activity that makes you breathe slightly harder and feel slightly warmer than normal but still allows you to talk. The 30 minutes of physical activity can be done in one session, or through several shorter bouts of activity of 10 minutes or more.
